Updated Mail Server .NET v1.0.4.7

If you downloaded and installed the Mail Server .NET 1.0.4.7 before this release (23:50 April 10 2008 GMT), please download and install it again. There was a bug in a database management in the version which was on the server within last 24 hours - all newly created domain groups would give DBNull errors.

Mail Server

  • Added an option to use X-Authenticated-User header (Options - General - Include X-Authenticated-User Hader;
  • Optimized the way how allowed usage is calculated for each user;
  • Added Delivery Interval Increment to general delivery and mailbag delivery.  It allows to progressivelly increase the delivery interval, as number of attempts grows;
  • Added "Quick Setup Wizard" - allows new users to quickly setup very basic features of the server. Accessible only when there are no users and no mailbags on the server

Web Interface

  • Added an access to delivery interval increment values (see above);
  • Fixed couple of bugs on the server administration section;

Please disable ordb.org service!

IMPORTANT If you are using ordb.org services in the DNSBL databases (in Pro - Anti Spam - DNS Based Spam Databases (DNSBL), in .NET Security - DNS Bases Spam Databases (DNSBL), please disable or delete it. It appears, they are returning "positive" replies for each query, which causes rejection of all mail.

  • Just removed ordb.org from the initial settings of DNSBL databases. It appears, recently they return positive reply all the time, causing all mail to bounce, if it is enabled;

Mail Server .NET v1.0.4.6

Mail Server

  • Added an option not to perform database cleanup when service is starting (General Settings box);
  • Fixed a problem, which was appearing since 1.0.4.4 - when mail was received at local IP address, and server was attempting to deliver mail using the same IP address, there was a connection problem. Now, if internal IP addresses are used, there is an option to use any available IP address, or specific IP address when delivering mail to remote servers;
