Hi Guys
We have a client who uses Microsoft's POP3 connector to collect mail from a postmaster account on our Argosoft. Can't use a mailbag because his ISP doesn't allow direct email and it's just too painful to try and sort it! Anyway - normally this arrangement gives no problems, but today we starting seeing some weird behaviour at the Argosoft. (.Net 1057, by the way)
If an email comes in for, say, two recipients in the same domain, Argosoft creates two messages in the postmaster mailbox. The POP3 collector then collects both messages and distributes them to each recipient... twice.
Normally, I'd expect the Argosoft to create just one message in the mailbox and then let the email client work out what do with it, based on the headers. But now, the email client (the POP3 connector) is seeing multiple recipients for each message, and then seeing as many individual messages as there are individual recipients. So some of the users are getting bombarded with the same message several times!
What can I do here?
TIA
H
