I need to reinstall due to hardware failure on my server.

I have recovered the original installation folder and I am trying to install into it.

 What was installed was .net ver: 1.0.8.3 which is what I am currently trying to install.

 

The folder I am selecting for the install is the exact same location where the original install was and where I recoved the original files to!

 

I keep getting this message from the Argo installation:

popup title: Previous Installation Detected.

 

It appears, that you have a previous installation of Mail Server in directory C\:blah\blah\ArgoSoft.net\

It is recommended that you install the server in the same directory.

Click YES to cancel setup, and start it again, selecting the original setup driectory, or NO to continue.

 

This is very fustrating as I need to get this installation back up and running WITHOUT having to rebuild it all from scratch.

Do not drop the database.  As always make a backup of your registry before modifying it, and make a backup of your ArGo Folder.

 

Next delete the *.DLL, *.EXE, *.ICO, *.XML files from the ArGo Program Directory.

 

This should allow you to do the reinstall now.  It will be like doing an upgrade from an earlier version.
