Hello all,The problems laid out in this post has been rectified by following Robin's directions and turning off log file creation. I would like to know if anyone has any ideas why creating a text log file would have caused this issue in the first place and if there is any other solution since I have often used the log files to track down issues in the past.Thanks---------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry. The topic title should be "... Email Clients NOT Receiving Mail ..."
The Server:
Windows Server 2003
2.0 GHz CPU
1 GB of RAM
Windows server 2003 has all of the latest and greatest updates. I downloaded them this morning when all of this started.
The Program:
ArgoSoft Email Server Pro version 1.8.8.9
When this began this morning I was on 1.8.8.8 and upgraded to see if that fixed the problem. It didn't.
The Problem:
The servers CPU is constantly maxes at 99% when the ArgoSoft service mlsrvnt.exe is running. Also no one can receive email from the server. I followed the directions from a previous posting from someone that was having the CPU maxed out issue but it didn't fix either of my problems. When I try to receive I have have gotten a couple of error:
0x8004210A - This problem occurs when your mail server requires both Secure Sockets
Layer security (SSL) and Secure Password Authentication (SPA).
Neither SSL or SPA is active or has been active on our setup.
0x800CCC0F - These error messages may occur if Microsoft Outlook or if
Microsoft Outlook Express cannot establish a connection with your e-mail
server. These error messages are frequently caused by one of the following:
| • |
Incorrect account settings |
| • |
Misconfiguration of personal firewall software |
| • |
Antivirus software |
| • |
A bad modem |
| • |
Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) size |
| • |
Outlook Express has been removed from the computer or the
installation is damaged |
| • |
Your user profile in Outlook is damaged |
| • |
An e-mail item on your POP3 server is damaged |
I have checked all of these things and none of them is causing the issue either.
Any help at all would be appreciated.
