I'm running Mail Server Pro 1.8.9.4.
In order to be able to send mail I need to use a smart server (ISP blocks outgoing SMTP to any server but their own, and their mail server only accepts mail if the "from" address matches the smtp authentication information). Only problem is these are the required settings for the smart server I would like to use:
My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication: enabled Outgoing server (SMTP) port: 465 This server requires a secure connection (SSL): enabled
I can of course configure Outlook Express to send mail with these settings no problem, but trying to get these settings into Argosoft is like pulling teeth.
I suppose I can probably change the smart server smtp port in the registry or something, but do I need to upgrade to .NET to be able to use SSL for the smart server?
Any ideas you can provide would be great. THANKS!
