Just put in the .NET version and the conversion went pretty smoothly, but now I have a couple of questions.

Ώ] I have the Web Mail up and running but I cannot see any mail received nor can I send out mail.  When I log into my account, all folders ( including the INBOX ) are empty.  I had users send test mail, but it never shows up in the Web.  When I send mail, I get an error that says "Error sending mail: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it".  The mail server is sitting behind a firewall and I have port 8080 forwarded to 80 on the server... do I need to open other ports?

ΐ] I've never used IMAP before, but with IPhones starting to show up in house, are there any other ports I need open for this work?

Thanks for your help!

Did you configure the web interface? With the latest version of the web interface the first time you run it, a configuration wizard will start. You also need to enable remoting from the ArGo UI on the services option.

Steve, thanks for your response, but yes, I did run the wizard and configured the Web Interface.  Now here's something that's a little more strange.  I have a forwarding address for another user in our mail server.  He has been unable to retrieve his email with his Blackberry and all messages sent to him show up in the web interface.  I logged into his account and VIOLA, there's all the messages he's received since the server swap... weird.

** UPDATE ** It seems during the conversion that the forwarder option did not keep the forwarded messages option box checked.  Once I checked that off, I could start reading my messages on the server side through the Web Client.

I'm still getting the error when sending "Error sending mail: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"

Is it on the same machine? Do you have a firewall? The only other thing that comes to mind is that the password for the interface does not match.

Mail Server v1.0.5.8

Mail Server

  • Mailbags now have an option to accept mail only when specified server is down - will help to fight with spam which attempt to deliver mail bypassing the main server;
  • When delivering mail, if main exchanger returns 4xx reply (temporary problem), the server will not try other exchangers, will retry later the main exchanger;
  • Server options moved from registry to a XML file. 64 bit versions of Vista and 2008 server appear to be having access rights problems to the Windows registry, and the change will make our server more compatible with 64 bit versions;
  • Added an option to specify the number of lines on the log screen, when using the user interface. Was causing memory problems if left running for long time;
  • Fixed couple of problems, which were showing when SQL server was set up to use case sensitive SQL statements;
  • Made changes in the remoting interface to allow logging in using aliases;

  • Server settings have been moved from registry to the XML file, which will be located in the common application data directory. 64 bit versions of Windows were having trouble writing into the registry; similar change is coming to the mail server;
