| Will all the old posts from the old forum be transfered as well, or are they lost? |

Hi Dan,
I do have the database that Greg passed on to me, that is how I was able to transfer all the user accounts.
I had a few issues with moving the old message base. To write the conversion myself but there was several issues with that: 1. It would have taken a very long time, for which I did not have available. 2. I would have to duplicate this forum on another server for testing, until the conversion code was correct (see #1). 3. I can not guarantee that it would transfer correctly. 4. I had a time constraint to meets Greg's timetable of rebuilding his server. 5. I could pay the developer of this forum (Active Forums http://www.activemodules.com/ ) but that would have been pricey ($700+), and I have already put out more than I will ever get in donations to cover operating costs, and I did not want to see the forums to no longer exists.
So I decided to start fresh. Maybe at some point in the future I may play with doing something, but for now, there are no plans to bring over the old forum posts. |

| Would you be interested in letting some of us take a look at the database? I do some db programming and conversion and have some programmers on hand. Volunteer of course. |

Not good. There was many good posts in the old forum.
Without the old topics this forum is no longer interesting for me.

Well, quick to complain...how about you pay someone or design a script yourself to convert all the old topics from Nuke Evo to DNN. Embrace change, the discussions and people remain. You go back and read newspapers from 3 years ago often? |

Markus,
I do have a member looking in to a conversion of the old forum posts. Since this member is volunteering his time to do so (if it is possible at all), we have to rely on his available time to do the work. I can assure you that the database structures are quite different and it is a very time consuming task to write such a complicated conversion. I could have the developer of the .NET forums do it but the price tag was too prohibitive and the time frame I had to move the forums was short.
If this member is able to convert the data, it will be integrated in the forums. At that time I will make the announcement.
Remember that the forum owner bare the expense of running and maintaining the site, previously it was Greg and now me. Our expenses in running the site far exceed the donations we receive. |

| Mail Server v1.0.5.9 | |
Mail Server
- Added additonal tracking of connections for SMTP and POP3: if they stay on for over 30 minutes, they are
getting disconnected;
- Fixed a problem with mailbags when they accept mail only when main server is down: in case of timeout
mailbags were still treating the main server as "available" and rejecting mail;
- Changed color coding of logs. Now red denotes only errors, delivery is green, POP3, SMTP, IMAP
connections - blue;
Web Interface
-
Fixed a problem, when session timeouts were causing errors in the windows system logs;

| Mail Server Pro v1.8.9.6 |
- Improved Export to .NET function - sometimes email messages were not getting exported, because
the database of email messages was not up to date. Now each folder gets rebuilt before the export
function;

| Mail Server v1.0.5.8 | |
Mail Server
- Mailbags now have an option to accept mail only when specified server is down - will help to fight
with spam which attempt to deliver mail bypassing the main server;
- When delivering mail, if main exchanger returns 4xx reply (temporary problem), the server will not
try other exchangers, will retry later the main exchanger;
- Server options moved from registry to a XML file. 64 bit versions of Vista and 2008 server appear
to be having access rights problems to the Windows registry, and the change will make our server more
compatible with 64 bit versions;
- Added an option to specify the number of lines on the log screen, when using the user interface.
Was causing memory problems if left running for long time;
- Fixed couple of problems, which were showing when SQL server was set up to use
case sensitive SQL statements;
- Made changes in the remoting interface to allow logging in using aliases;
Web Interface
- Made changes to allow logging in using aliases;
- When viewing folders, web interface now displays the name of logged in user;
