Hi,
I have a client who has Argosoft, and wants to upgrade to the .NET edition. He's tried installing and had a fair few problems (not sure exactly what). I volunteered to take a look; sure enough - the .NET version didn't want to start - throwing up a "Length of the data to decrypt is invalid" error.
I uninstalled the .NET version, and let it remove all it's settings. I double checked the database was deleted, checked that all the registry entries were gone and it all looked ready for a 'fresh install'. I re-downloaded the .NET app, and installed it - first time no problems. "Great" I thought
My client then bought the licence as it looked to be working, put it all in and it all looks great ... however, try to add a user and it just throws up "Please specify the password". I've attached a screenshot, you can see I've typed in a password and although it's a different error to the "minimum length" I've also checked that's on 0 (and I've tried setting some values).
I'm really really puzzled; has anyone had anything like this? Any ideas? I've never really used Argosoft before
Thanks in advance for any help/advice!
Ben
